meetup

If you work with QlikView or Qlik Sense, I am sure that you are familiar with the thriving global Qlik Community. It’s where you go to post questions or seek help from thousands of other Qlik professionals who passionately respond to solve your Qlik challenges.

Now there is a Qlik global meetup group that can complement Qlik Community by allowing all of us who are passionate about Qlik to meet and share ideas locally.

I vividly remember meeting with handful of attendees in a small library room in the northern suburb of Atlanta almost 3 years ago when I started Qlik developers’ group. Now, the group has 133 members and it is still growing.

Viktoria Lindback and Gillian Farquhar are doing fabulous work to support and grow these global meetup groups. Qlik  offers monetary support for light food and beverage, a free meetup pro subscription, and help recruiting Qlik speakers.

If you are interested in becoming an organizer, send an email to QlikMeetups@Qlik.com with the location where you’d like to start it and they will help make you a Qlik Captain.

Qlik Meetup – Atlanta

Our next meetup in Atlanta is on September 18th(register here). We are excited to welcome two well renowned Qlik Luminaries, Ralf Becher (irregularbi) & Alexander Nagler (qlik2predict) and Konrad Mattheis(qlik2go)  from Europe to speak at the event.

This event is going to be fantastic since Ralf,  Mattheis and Alex have plethora of experience to share.

They will discuss how their healthcare customers combine Qlik and Data Robot to make their business and processes more efficient and simultaneously make a positive impact on the most essential thing in life for their customers: health.

The art of possible in Qlik

In this session, Konrad and Ralf will cover and demo a variety of topics like Qlik Core, Picasso.js, SSE, On Demand Reporting, Visualization Extensions. The red thread running through this session is, that it will be entertaining, inspiring and shows the art of possible in Qlik. Also, the presentation adds a European perspective on how the Qlikosphere and BI market works and how Qlik is pushed towards its boundaries.

Beyond this, they will highlight technical as well as organizational and cultural requirements for a successful journey from BI to AI or as Qlik puts it: towards Augmented Intelligence.

Qlik Luminary Panel: Qlik, Big Data & Advanced Analytics

Velocity, volume, and variety of data grow with all of our customers. Machine Learning is applied more and more throughout competing companies and is embedded into an ever increasing number of applications. However, qualified labor to build, implement, scale and operate those systems is a scarce resource. In this truly transatlantic session, we will discuss openly, how Qlik customers, partners, and enthusiast can benefit from these trends and stay ahead as they are used to.

In addition, you will get to meet and network with other Qlik professionals in the Atlanta area so please join our meetup group if you are interested.

I hope to see you there!
